Gymnastics Nostalgia
Why do people pay good money for gymnastics photos or any youth sports photos? Nostalgia. They may not call it that but that is what it comes down to though. Parents are nostalgic about their own childhood and want to remember their childrens’ “highlights” as clearly as possible. Photos and videos provide nostalgia that is better than a memory in our mind. It is visible to others. It is tangible.
I have had more than one parent tell my wife that the dvd we made of their child’s gymnastics routine made them cry…. even the Dad! That is the ultimate compliment.
